Please read it carefully as it contains descriptions that will help you understand the information you read in the instruction and TRANSPONDER KEY A transponder is a small chip located inside the keyhead that contains information for the vehicle’s immobiliser. A transponder key works on proximity. The engine will only start if the transponder chip is inside the key as the key is being turned. If the transponder chip has been removed, the engine will not start. A transponder key is tted for all newer day passenger vehicles in Australia. CLONE Is to duplicate an exact copy of a remote control. To clone a remote control, the old remote control is required and must be working. Primarily, the main way of cloning a remote control is to use the Remote King Cloning Machine. Only xed code remote controls can be cloned. Cloned remote controls do not need to pro- grammed into the car/garage as they already hold all the information of the customer’s original remote control. FORGE Is to make a new remote control using the K2 Forge system. A blank K2 Forge remote control is placed inside the K2 Forge programming base and using our K2 Forge software, you simply select the remote control model to make a non-genuine remote control. An original remote control is not required to Forge a remote control. Forging a remote control is not to be confused with cloning a remote control. Unlike the cloning process, you are not using the old remote control to copy the information from. The Forged remote control will still need to be programmed into the vehicle once it has been Forged. Only code hopping remote controls can be Forged. DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS A diagnostic tool is a machine that has the ability to connect to an automotive vehicle’s computer. Diagnostic tools can be used to program in remote controls and transponder chips. On certain vehicles, diagnostic programming might be mandatory. FIXED CODE: A fixed code remote control is a remote control that can be cloned using the Remote King Cloning Machine. Each button sends out the same information every time it is pressed. The information it sends out does not differ at all. CODE HOPPING: A code hopping remote control cannot be cloned. Every time a button is pressed, a unique code is sent making it impossible to replicate the signal. The receiver (car/garage) knows the next 200+ codes that the remote control will send, so if it is pressed whilst away from the receiver, it won’t lose its functionality. If a code hopping remote control is cloned, it will only work once and then will not work again.
